My goodness.

There's this British gameshow called QI (standing for Quite Interesting) that is hosted by the all-mighty Stephen Fry.  The premise is that he asks the contestants questions that he really doesn't expect them to answer correctly, and he gives them points for being interesting, rather than correct (though correctness is also rewarded).  ( Read more... )

There's a Stephen Fry (Jeeves) clock!  It wakes you up with birdsong and Jeeves's cough, and then has a different message for every day.  There are enough messages for six months!  Then it beeps, and you press "cancel", and he has a different message every day for that too, like "Ghastly noise, I agree".  It's hideously expensive, but OH MY GOD.  ( Read more... )

My report on Bipolar Disorder is seven pages, five pages over the suggested limit.  I have eleven sources for my bibliography, nine sources over the suggested limit.  Overachiever?  Me?  Nooo.

Still, I can't wait to show that clip from A Bit of Fry and Laurie in class tomorrow.  Stephen Fry + pretending to be Michael Jackson = AWESOME.

I just spent three hours watching Jeeves and Wooster, and have decided that they were meant for each other.  Not so much in the books... I think reading Stephen Fry has skewed my view of his character.  Not that that's necessarily a bad thing: there's plenty of fuel for a J/B ship out there, like how both get engaged more than once and break it off ( Read more... )
